Penny has great taste! She was a joy to work with. I had hired her several years ago to select some window treatments, furniture, and fabrics for a small project on my previous home. I was so happy with the results, I asked her to work on our new historic home that we purchased last fall which needed an entire overhaul. She did all the design work for the major rooms, totally redid one bathroom, and was involved in some creative renovations. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. She was able to take the furniture and art that we had and make everything seem new again in a new setting. Her new furniture, fabric, tile, window treatment, and paint selections were fantastic. We were also very pleased with the tradesmen she used-they did great work. Also, her prices were fair-there were no surprises. She was very good about dealing with my budget and helping to make decisions about where to spend and where to save. We also had a general contractor doing much of the renovation in the house and she was able to work with him and manage her tradespeople along with his. If I had to name one thing that makes Penny a great design professional-it is her eye and creative spirit. She created a home environment for us which is truly breathtaking but also comfy. Our house is mid 19th century creole cottage in the French Quarter and Penny was able to come up with a design plan that respected the history and architecture of the home while integrating our existing art and furniture. We need some additional design work done in our guesthouse in the future and I plan to call Penny and Eclectic Home again. I would strongly recommend her to anyone.
