At Eclectic Home, we are always looking to thoughtfully expand our diverse collection to include the work of talented Louisiana-based artists. Our goal is to offer a variety of art that resonates deeply with the local culture, reflects the vibrant creative spirit of the community, and connects meaningfully with our audience. We are committed to supporting local talent, which allows us to showcase a wide range of unique creations while simultaneously benefiting the artist through greater exposure to a broader audience.

AVERY CHES

“A pastel painter by trade, Avery finds inspiration in the tactile, ethereal quality of dry pastels on paper. Drawn to remote landscapes, she is inspired by wide-open fields and endless skies.

After nearly four years in Aix-en-Provence, France and a remote mountain village in southern Italy, Avery returned to New Orleans to share her art and deepen her ties to the NOLA community.

She graduated from Tulane University in 2014 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and has returned to New Orleans ever since. Though born and raised outside of Lexington, KY, Avery has always found home wherever the mountains, fields, and skies call her.”

JOSIE AZUMA

“Josie is a classically trained painter and self-taught abstract artist in New Orleans, specializing in collage. Inspired by nature's color spectrum, local architecture, and music, she views collaging as a way to experiment with composition. This meditative process simplifies objects into basic shapes and color planes, reflecting her pursuit of a more focused life. Josie seeks harmony between contrasting elements and embraces spontaneity in her work.

She holds a Fine Art degree with a minor in Art History and continues her education at The New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts, focusing on abstract art and collage.”
